When I tried to diet, my love of spicy and flavorful food really didn’t translate too well. I began to create my own recipes based on my mom’s traditional Indian recipes and a lot of the other ethnic foods I grew up loving, such as Mexican, Japanese and Thai.

I adapted the recipes to make them healthier.

Spices make weight loss so much easier”” they help produce delicious, low-calorie dishes that make it much easier to stick with healthy eating habits. By using spices in my everyday foods, I made my food SEXY.

Cumin Coriander Fish, Chicken or Tofu, roasted eggplant, and yellow lentils with ginger and garlic had such wonderful flavors I couldn’t believe it was actually considered diet, or healthy food, because it tasted so AMAZING!

I started looking forward to my meals because they were filled with flavor and left me so satisfied.

I’ll share my mouth-watering EASY recipes with you.

2. Make step-by-step changes to your diet

The best way to plan what you’re eating and build a system into your life is to do it step-by-step.

You can’t expect to totally overhaul your diet and workout plan in one week. Have you ever been totally fed up with yourself and wanted to lose weight, went to the gym 4x a week and completely changed your diet?

What happened? You probably felt hungry, cranky, and irritated. Your friends, husband and kids probably didn’t want to be around you.

After 2 weeks you burnt yourself out and went back to where you were before you started.

In the past, I was ALWAYS consumed with motivating myself to be healthy on a day-to-day basis. I felt disappointed in myself when I didn’t have the willpower to eat a salad after a long day, resist chocolates at work or get to the gym at 6am before going to work.

Now, my life is different.

I love the foods I eat, and I love the energy they give me.

I don’t have to force myself to be healthy anymore. Why? How did this happen?

It feels so much easier to stay healthy now. I can more effortlessly live at the weight of my dreams. I look in the mirror and my stomach is still flat. I can wear jeans that are 3 sizes below my previous lowest size ever.
