Growing up, I lived in Arizona, and the heat was over 100 degrees during our long summers. I loved enjoying a thirst-quenching drink on these and any other days.
My mom would brew natural iced tea for us, and it tasted so fresh, light and tasty. Unsweetened iced tea is a tasty, delicious beverage that’s low in sugar and quenches your thirst at the same time!
Most drinks that taste delicious have a lot of sugar – juices, lemonades, iced teas, and sodas. Diet sodas are not ideal because of the sweetener – which ends up making you crave more sugar throughout the day.
When I got older, I added cardamom into my mom’s iced recipe, which is a natural digestive aid that helps food go down faster and smoother. It’s often used in Eastern teas, like Chai, for this quality. Cardamom also has a great flavor!
I recorded my recipe for Cardamom Iced Tea for you. This is the first cooking video I ever recorded, and I’m sharing it here for the first time. So don’t laugh at me too much!
