Jami dropped from 130 to 114.8 lbs at 5’4” by following my weight loss framework, recipes, and personalized guidance
Jami didn’t want to feel the muffin top, or the “spare tire” that had slowly been creeping up over the past decade. At the age of 55, and at 5'4", 130 pounds, she had wanted to reach the weight of 125, where she felt more comfortable. Her weight wasn’t her biggest concern, however.
Jami can't remember when she weighed this little before!
Her waistline had been expanding - and it kept going up over time. She wanted to reduce her visceral abdominal fat because she knew that it was unhealthy and didn’t support longevity.
She had been wanting to learn to eat right, but couldn’t get herself to do it.
She had significantly improved her eating habits over the years but had not yet figured out how to implement a truly healthy, real food-eating lifestyle that enabled her to be the best version of herself. She didn’t feel confident that she could maintain the high quality of life that she wanted to a ripe old age.
She wanted to finally nail that down. She enjoyed being active but had been working out without seeing results for years, and that was utterly frustrating.
Jami needed guidance - someone who would work past her excuses and lead her to solutions.
She didn’t enjoy thinking about what to eat, let alone having to prepare and cook it. Even though she enjoys food, having to stop to eat felt like a waste of time, and the more thought and effort she had to put into the whole process, the less she liked it.
Jami needed someone to show her how to make the planning easy so she can simply implement it. Also, she was fearful of her perfectionism kicking in and spiraling into analysis/paralysis, ultimately defaulting to whatever is easy (e.g., not having the proper ingredients for an 'ideal' breakfast so defaulting to her beloved bowl of cereal!)

- How to trim down her visceral abdominal fat (belly fat that's stored within the abdominal cavity)
- How to eat right so that she wouldn’t be overwhelmed with perfectionism
- How to lose weight with a diverse, well-rounded diet that didn’t make her feel deprived or restricted - and that her husband would enjoy also (so she didn’t have to make two meals)
- How to make vegetables taste good!
What made Jami a unique client was that at 130 pounds and 5’4”, she had a relatively small amount of weight to lose - so details mattered! My job was to make those details tie uniquely into her framework to get her the results she wanted but just couldn’t reach on her own.

Highlights
In just 8 weeks, Jami shed a total of 9 pounds and 1.75 inches from her waist, and continued to melt her fat away beyond what she thought was possible for her body:
- Eight months from the start of the program, she’s melted away a total of 15.2 pounds and now weighs 114.8!
- Her once troublesome waist and hips shrunk by 3 inches (and she now has a 29" waist!)
- She dropped 2 inches off of her thighs
Though it’s always impressive to see what my clients can lose within the 8-week program, it’s the check-ins that are most gratifying. Eight months after I first met with Jami, she continued to lose, demonstrating that the tools and skills she learned were sustainable, even with a busy schedule.
