- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 inch (1cm) Raw ginger minced or grated
- Honey & lemon juice to taste
- Pinch black pepper
Bring four cups of water to a boil.
Add turmeric powder and ginger (skin removed). Reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes.
Strain the tea through a fine sieve into a cup; add honey and/or lemon to taste.
Add a pinch of black pepper to increase absorption of turmeric.
Note: Keep the leftover tea in a glass container in the fridge. Heat up a cup a day for the next few days.
